คำปฏิญาณโอลิมปิก
ผู้ที่กล่าวคำปฏิญาณตนมักจะมาจากประเทศเจ้าภาพ โดยที่เขาจะถือธงไว้หัวมุม (ถ้านักกีฬาสะดวก)
คำปฏิญาณตนฉบับปัจจุบัน จะเริ่มใช้ในโอลิมปิกฤดูหนาว 2018 เป็นครั้งแรก โดยตัวแทนของนักกีฬา, ผู้ตัดสิน, เจ้าหน้าที่ และผู้ฝึกสอนจะกล่าวคำตามบรรทัดดังต่อไปนี้:
In the name of the athletes. / ในนามของนักกีฬาIn the name of all judges. / ในนามของผู้ตัดสินทั้งหมดIn the name of all the coaches and officials. / ในนามของผู้ฝึกสอนและเจ้าหน้าที่ทั้งหมดนักกีฬาจะกล่าวคำปฏิญาณต่อว่า:
We promise to take part in these Olympic Games, respecting and abiding by the rules and in the spirit of fair play. We all commit ourselves to sport without doping and cheating.
