เจซีได้กลับมาปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของเขาอีกครั้งในฐานะนักล่าสมบัติ ผู้แสวงหาสิบสองหัวสำริดแห่งสัตว์ปีนักษัตรที่ถูกปล้นจากพระราชวังฤดูร้อนหยวนหมิงหยวนในช่วงสงครามฝิ่นครั้งที่สอง ในปี ค.ศ. 1860[4]
